Needlework For Nogales Children (N4NC)
Teaching sewing, knitting, and crocheting skills to support Nogales families. Nine women associated with Casas Adobes Congregational Church, UCC formed Needlework for Nogales Children (N4NC), and meet weekly on Fridays to sew, knit, or crochet clothing for children served by the House of Hope & Peace (Hogar de Paz y Esperanza or HEPAC, the neighborhood center the church has long supported financially), with the goal of helping students supply the needs of their families and also earning income from the sale of their products, gaining experience and confidence that might help them enter the workforce or begin small businesses at home. Interested? Talk with Grace Bunker or Toña Morales-Calkins. Join the needleworkers or make donations of materials or money at the church office.
