Sunday School
Sunday School meets year around and cultivates children's experience of the Divine through community, prayer, sacred narratives, imagination, reflection, play, art, and engaging music.
The Kindergarten through 2nd grade class meets in Room 3 with lead teacher Emalie Kane, "B.S Education". Grades 3 through 5 meet in Room 2.
Nursery Care
Care for infants and children ages 2 and 3 is provided in Room 4 from 9:45 am through the 10:15 am service. Child care
for other church events can be arranged by calling the office.
New Youth Worship
The second Sunday of each month is Youth Sunday at our Church. Everyone gathers in the large sanctuary at 10:15 am and our youth participate in leading the service. At 10:30, children and youth adjourn to Sunday School and the Youth Discussion group in Rooms 1,2, &3. On other Sundays, children and youth gather for Youth Worship at 10:15 in Vance Chapel. Gale Prol starts us off with engaging music. Classes meet at 10:30.
Youth Discussion
Too cool for Sunday School? A new Youth Discussion group for Grades 6 and up will offer meaningful experiences and topical conversations. Elodie Winger facilitates. Once a month Gale Prol leads drumming.
Youth Activities
Retreats and Flash Mobs!
Youth Chimes Choir for ages 7 through 12 rehearses at 11:15 am Sundays.
Casas Adobes Fine Arts Academy offers art classes and private music lessons.
Service Projects and social justice activities occur throughout the year.
Confirmation Class for young people ages 11 and up will meet for orientation with pastor in the fall. Candidates will then be paired with a mentor.
Camp Sessions and Mission Trips available through UCC Southwest Conference.
Young Adults
Scholarship Program supports students.
Intergenerational
In addition to learning and serving together, all ages participate in the church's many informal activities and gatherings: Advent Festival, Adventures in Art, Crafts, Cycling, Easter Kites, Fall Picnic, Hiking, Souper Bowl Sunday and more.
